Guitar Hero Skins
It seems like the whole world is abruptly rocking. Rock and heavy metal, once the preserve of a moderately small and honestly homogenous group, is now amazingly well loved with all ages and backgrounds.
The reason for this is simple. Its called Guitar Hero. In what seems like the blink of an eye millions of people who can't really play a guitar, or any other instrument for that matter, are rocking away and playing till their fingers ache, using only a fake guitar controller and a games console. Kids and adults alike are rocking for hours trying to master more and more complicated songs.
It is without doubt a fantastic gaming concept and one which thankfully gets away from the 'lone kids in front of the notebook screen for hours' type of game. At least with Guitar hero they are standing up! Where this game really scores with a lot of people is that with the enhancement of the total games like Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band, which also include a drum kit and a microphone, it can be fantastic for a group of friends or for the family to delight in together.
So now every person has a fake guitar and they all look pretty much the same. But take a look at your Rock God of choice and you will notice that he has a designer guitar which doesn't look like anyone else's - its his party style and his brand. He will also have a range of uncommon guitars to suit what he is playing or the mood he happens to be in.
Well how can you keep up with that without having to buy lots of uncommon more expensive guitar controllers? The answer is that you get yourself a guitar hero skin. Or maybe build up a collection of a few of them so its like having lots of uncommon guitars but without the deprivation. The skins, also called faceplates, are a vinyl cover which goes over the front of the guitar controller. They come in an incredible assortment of colours and designs and more are coming out all the time.
Whatever your preferences are there is sure to be just the skin for you. You can even have them custom made to your own design. Pretty cool maybe but likely to be a bit pricey for the average guitar hero. They do have a practical use as well as they serve to care for the guitar controller from scuffs, fingermarks and general dust and grime.
So if you really want to be party and feel more like your hero get yourself some guitar hero skins. Go on, stand out from the crowd!
