| I'm a fantastic fan of Aerosmith since 1.980, so this Guitar Hero is just a dream for me. The band makes observations about the songs and about the venues they used to play in between songs. It's fantastic because along the game you can learn a lot of things about the description of the band. Also you have the oportunity to play with them, effectively. The playlist is brilliant, I can't stop playing it. As I said in my title, it's an brilliant game for Aerosmith's fans, if you don't like the band too much, don't buy it. |
Fantastic bundle, fantastic game!

Disclaimers:
1. I like both Guitar Hero and Rock Band (so I'm not going to try to trash either game series).
2. I'm not fantastic playing any of the guitar games, and can barely carry on the last songs on Medium difficulty.
Since this review is for the bundle, I'll first concentrate on the bundle, then focus on the game later, which I'm sure you'll see lots of reviews for at Guitar Hero Aerosmith. In fact, I'll probably write a review myself there, concentrating on the game.
As a fantastic fan of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series, getting GH-Aerosmith was a given. The question for me was the following:
Get the game, or get the bundle? Get it for the PS2, PS3, or Wii? (I only have an Xbox, not a 360, so at least that that option wasn't considered by me). With 6 doable choices, I had to go look at all the different versions. Here's my outline:
PS3 (and Xbox 360) bundle comes with the nifty Aerosmith faceplate and stickers and booklet.
PS2 only comes with the stickers and booklet.
Wii bundle comes with the nifty Aerosmith faceplate and stickers and booklet, and the Wii remote acts as an extra speaker for special Wii-only things (not sure if it also vibrates on cue).
Hmm, so based on the bundle, for me, the Wii has an advantage in terms of abilities. But, I don't reckon I like taking my Wiimote out of its sleeve and sticking it in the controller. Consequently, it's about a tie between the PS3 and Wii versions, and the PS2 translation is second-rate, since you don't get the better guitar and it doesn't have the extra faceplate.
Now, the game itself.
PS3 and Xbox 360: You can buy and download extra tracks (not sure if they'll ever relief any, but they have the potential).
PS2: Not unfilled.
Wii: Oops, forgot to check out if that option's unfilled!
Graphics are also better on the PS3 and Xbox 360 translation, of course. And since there are full video clips of Aerosmith members interview style, seeing it on the better graphics apparatus are nice.
I considered getting a new guitar, since I have 3 PS2 GH guitars and 2 PS3 RB guitars, as well as the games GH, GH2, GH2-greatest hits, and GH3 on PS2, and RB on PS3. I did try using the PS3 RB guitar, just HOPING it may be well-matched with GH-A, and I can confirm that it is NOT well-matched. In fact, the guitar that comes with this bundle is identical to the one from the GH3 bundles, the Les Paul wireless guitar (which is a excellent thing).
Overall, certainly recommended. As a bundle, it's certainly worth it, especially if you need or want an extra guitar (and I did). |

| If you bought this on sale its fantastic, If you bought it full price you should have went ahead an got the actual guitar hero game. Taking into account most official guitars (not one's made by lesser companies that have terrible warranties) are around 40 to 80 dollars, getting this manufactured goods on sale for 45 dollars or less is fantastic because you only spent 5 dollars on the game and got an official guitar. Yes, there aren't that many songs, but you can just buy a further game and use the same guitar. |

| Why is all complaining about these songs being to no avail of? What do you people want, to play Guitar Hero to lame 90's songs like Cryin and I don't want to Miss a thing? Give me a break. I read some reviews saying these were not well-known Aerosmith songs. All of Aerosmith's body of 1970s work is not only their BEST but also their most Well-known. the reason all makes fun of aerosmith now is because of songs like pink, cryin, crazy, incredible, all that pop bubble gum stuff. all these songs from the 70s are ideal for a game based on a GUITAR. how do you reckon aerosmith rose to celebrity? hello, BY PLAYING THE SONGS ON THE GHAEROSMITH SET LIST. THESE SONGS ARE AEROSMITH'S BEST SONGS, BY FAR. |
